Had Peter come out when our heat went out, and I realized that we hadn't had our system serviced since we moved in the previous year.
We looked over the property appraisal after he gave us the bad news, and it confirmed that, yep, our system was old and rusty and on its last legs. Peter gave us a few options, one for an immediate fix that would take us through the winter season and probably not much more, one that would probably take us past a couple seasons while we figure out whether to go with a new traditional system, and a ground-up replacement ballpark.
We went with the reasonably priced second option since tech is changing, and we might be transitioning to solar/electric or whatever new magic is coming around the corner for the big long-term investment.
Parts ordering was fairly quick considering how long things can take out here, and the way the timing worked out, Peter was able to install while we were away, and we came back to a flawlessly functional heater in time for the chilly "atmospheric river" conditions of the next several weeks - niiiice THANKS PETE!

Lafferty is an incredible company. I couldn't be happier with their service or my new furnace. This company knows what they're doing. I was replacing a very old furnace with problematic ductwork. They took the time to figure out all of the details and maximized my system. Jeremy patiently answered all of my questions in detail. His vast knowledge is unlike anything I've ever encountered with other HVAC companies. Also, I asked about more expensive models and was told that none of them would be right for my home. I appreciate that kind of honesty. I would highly recommend them.

We have used D. Lafferty Heating for decades. Whether the job was tiny (changing the battery in a thermostat that wouldn't open up for me) or huge (installing a complete heating and air conditioning system, they always did a fantastic, professional job on time, on budget and with a great amount of caring. We recommend them highly.
Jeremy and his team installed our new Lennox Heat Pump. The HERS-rater inspected the ductwork and the leak-test results were lower than 1/3 of the required minimum! I love the dedication to excellence of the team at Lafferty Heating and would hire them again for any of our HVAC needs!
Lafferty Heating offered an estimate for an inline HEPA filter over 2 years ago and I finally acted on it. The pretty much re-affirmed the price with minor increase. I also added /inspection/maintenance of my 22 yr old furnace. The work was performed on time and within the agreed to amount. Workers were timely, cleaned up after themselves and I really liked the final product. We agreed after the inspection that I should replace my furnace in about two years. I will certainly use Lafferty Heating for that task.

These guys are great. They are honest and hard working and lovely to work with. We have a very unique old house with lots of quirks and they have made our furnace and also our chimney functional. I would definitely recommend them highly.
Friendly and competent serviceman came to do a check up on my heater. He changed batteries on my thermostat, which I wouldn't have thought of. Went above and beyond and cleaned off my heater surface (of pre-termite fumigation droppings), and even removed a large next from the attic (where heater is located). Best of all, he assured my heater is in good condition and will last quite a while. Good to have this competent company in town.
